Goal:

To provide a mobile application through which International Student Services can provide easy access to important & useful information. In addition, the app/service will have the ability for ISS to “push” notifications of new or updated information to specific user groups.

In designing the app & considering means to make the app more appealing to potential users I realized that with various feature / future additions; the app could become of use to all AU students, faculty, & staff. For instance, all students, faculty, & staff want to know ASAP that classes have been cancelled due to weather. A campus “directory in you pocket” could often be useful. Push notifications of CAB events could alert all students of a campus event later that day. A phone utility that provides direct access to the ins & outs of AU life, without the business muddle of the actual website, could be of much greater use and appeal to anyone involved with AU.
