Things I Can't Answer...
- Will posts be in plain text or rich text? With pictures?
- Should the app follow the ashland.edu motif, or should it have a different appearance?
- What groups should be created?
- Does the AU website maintain consistent URIs?
- What public (or other) information is desired?
- Should users have the option of “opting out” of some, or all, push notifications?
- --Same lines-- If users just want the easy access to information, automatically registering their app installation to receive push notifications could unnecessarily inflate the number of push notifications used.
- Should users be required to register under any conditions other than a faculty / staff designation?
- Preferences as to landscape, portrait, or landscape and portrait (auto orienting)?
- App Name?
- There are ten campuses listed. Should all be included? Note that to include the graphics for all will inflate
the size of the app. The maps could be loaded from the server, but this will require data usage.
My thought - include the main campus, with the others listed. If they're selected from the list, then they could be downloaded and saved on the user5s device. - Would “Notifications” be preferred over “Subscriptions?”
- Should “AU Ambassadros” be considered a privileged? That is, should they require approval before activating the subscriptions?
